Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a custom made cap that covers and protects the remaining part of your tooth. If you have a badly damaged, broken or a decayed tooth, a dental crown might be a perfect solution for fixing it. A tooth crown can even help to hold a bridge or a denture firmly in place. It can greatly improve the appearance and shape of your tooth and if looked after properly will last for a number of years. Dental crowns can be purchased by patients through an NHS dentist.

Dentures or False Teeth

Loosing teeth can negatively affect your oral health, confidence and quality of life. Our care team can offer you a great replacement solution for your teeth available on the NHS. One of the dental treatment options that we provide are dentures

Dentures are removable artificial teeth that fit over your gums in order to replace missing teeth. Dentures can help to prevent various oral health problems such as decay, periodontal or gum disease. Dentures can also improve your speech, appearance and give you a natural looking smile.

Dental Bridges

Are you suffering from tooth loss? Did you know that missing teeth can be replaced using a dental bridge?

A bridge is a dental restoration that fills the gap between missing teeth. Dental bridges can be supported by your own natural teeth, crowns or dental implants.

Wondering what the benefits of dental bridges are? The bridgework enables you to properly chew and speak as well as maintain the shape of your face. It can prevent the remaining teeth from drifting out of position and restore your smile.

You are eligible for a dental bridge treatment only if you have strong teeth with good bone support. Your dentist will examine your teeth and will be able to advise you on the best teeth replacement option. Dental bridges are great option for many patients and thankfully, dental bridges are available on the NHS!

Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are considered to be one of the most popular dental treatments in the UK. Fillings are used to restore decayed, cracked or broken teeth. There are various teeth filling options available including silver, white and tooth coloured. Amalgam fillings and some white fillings are available on the NHS. We will offer you the most appropriate type of dental filling depending on your clinical needs.

Dental Hygiene and Scale & Polish

Scale and polish is a dental cleaning treatment that allows us to remove plaque and tartar from your teeth. Scale and polish will leave your teeth feeling smooth and clean. We recommend to undertake a professional teeth cleaning every six months.

Root Canal Treatment

It is important to address a decayed or an infected tooth quickly, otherwise the infection can result in a dental abscess. Root canal treatment, or endodontics, enables our dentists to treat infections at the centre of a tooth.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom tooth removal is one of the most common dental treatments undertaken in the UK. Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to come though and can be quite a challenge to take out. Sometimes wisdom teeth can emerge partially, unevenly or get stuck behind the gum line. Impacted wisdom teeth are often removed under the NHS.

Fissure Sealants and Fluoride Varnish for Children

When a child is six or seven years, they can have fissure sealants done. At this age, their back teeth will have started to come through. The procedure protects them from tooth decay. It involves covering the chewing surfaces of these teeth with a plastic coat which keeps food particles and germs from getting lodged in the grooves. The sealant remains in place for between 5 and 10 years.

Another preventative procedure is the application of fluoride varnish. It can be applied on adult teeth as well as baby teeth. With this procedure, varnish with a high level of fluoride is applied on the teeth to prevent decay. This is done every six months. The procedure strengthens tooth enamel and makes it resistance to decay. Children aged three years and above should have the procedure done at least twice a year. Younger ones may also have the treatment done if the dentist feels that is necessary.
